Traditional food

We can serve traditional Sami food based on reindeer meat and recommend the following:
BOILED MEAT
The oldest traditional method of preparing reindeer meat. Chunks of meat, when boiled in a pot along with potatoes, vegetables and dumplings, have a fantastic, unique flavor. The broth is served on the side, along with bread.
REINDEER STEW
Thin-shaved flakes of reindeer meat, browned together with onions and simmered with salt, pepper and cream. Served with mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes or macaroni. Green salad is available if desired.
SALTED, DRIED REINDEER MEAT AND REINDEER SAUSAGE
Salting and drying is an ancient traditional way of preserving meat in our dry, inland climate. We serve slices of dried meat and reindeer salami, together with typical Norwegian "flat-bread".
